Robert has worked in the pensions industry for more than 35 years and has considerable experience of self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) and small self-administered schemes (SSASs) gained from working in these sectors for in excess of 15 years. Previous roles in the pensions industry include pensions administration, broker sales, marketing and product development.

Robert joined Rowanmoor in February 2008 to further enhance the company’s already excellent reputation for innovation. He has been actively involved with industry trade body, the Association of Member-directed Pension Schemes (AMPS); joining the committee in 2005, he held the positions of Chairman between 2008 and 2011, and Head of the Technical Sub-Committee between 2011 and 2014. Robert became an Honorary Life Member of AMPS in 2016, for providing outstanding service to the Association.

Robert leads a team of technical specialists who provide technical guidance, both internally to administration staff and externally to clients and their advisers and a team of investment specialists responsible for assessing acceptability of investments that can be held within Rowanmoor’s pension products.

Iain has in excess of 20 years of experience in dealing with self-administered pension schemes. Prior to joining the company he worked for a number of life offices in a variety of SSAS administration roles. He joined in 1995 as a Senior Administrator and was responsible for the administration of a portfolio of schemes before joining the Technical Team in 1998. He is now a Principal Technical Adviser dealing with staff training, the acceptance of investments and also legislative and other changes introduced by HMRC.

Caroline graduated in 1997 with a first class Degree in Mathematics and originally trained as an actuary at CIS Limited, gaining the Diploma in Actuarial Techniques and a Certificate in Finance and Investment. She joined the business, working in the SSAS division, in 2002 before moving on to a senior role at an actuarial consultancy and trustee company in Manchester. Caroline re-joined Rowanmoor in 2007 as Senior Technical Adviser and was promoted to Principal Technical Adviser in 2011.

Tim joined the company straight from university in 1994, and accumulated 15 years of experience working at all levels in the SSAS and Family Pension Trust administration departments before joining the Product Development Team, where he assisted with the development of the Rowanmoor SIPP. He joined Rowanmoor’s Technical Department after the successful launch of the SIPP in May 2009. Tim was promoted to Principal Technical Adviser in April 2012.
